This is a fun and easy way to do quite a few different activities. It is our sensory bin with beads and bits. We threw metal into it to use with our magnet sticks for some easy magnet exploration. After that we sat down and wrote out little scavenger hunt clues in three different difficulties, we threw in the optional timer for and extra challenge for my oldest.
We used one bag of lentils, and a bag of 12 bean soup for the extra colors and feel. Then a few good handfuls of shapely kid beads, some metal paper clips of different shapes, Lake Michigan pebbles, letter beads, and foam numbers. I put in some special glass gems, and small charms for the difficult level of the search and find.
