Getting my gear on. Well getting inspired for more of my gear fun. Now I have two clocks to take apart so the gears keep getting smaller which is fun in itself. A shout out to a couple great musicians, you guys rock. Proud of you Dave!
The Cecropia, or Robin moth, is America's largest moth. It is a member of the family of giant silkmoths - the Saturniidae. This wonderful worm is in it's fifth stage of life. After this it's into a cocoon with it, to turn into an awesome giant moth. Harmless but warningly beautiful, this worm was about the size of a hot dog. Very cool instant science class for my family. I couldn't help but share the brilliance in these designs. They inspire me to make things that work for my small spaces.
I thought that it would be cool if it changed color...and then we made it happen. I love this digital age we are in.
Feeling well armed as of now! This was a great project and now on to the holsters! The pieces are all coming together. These are the first of many steampunk guns to come! These will be for sale at the Kalamazoo Horror Convention!
This is a project in process. Not finished but the idea is coming along nicely. I have yet to take pictures of the knee high boots that go with it. But the over all look is slowly coming into focus. I need to make a holster for a gun I've been working on. This is going to be a costume for one day of the festival coming up.
On top of this being a great teaching tool, it's just fun!!
Since I've started making hats I have an interest in the great works of others. I just love things that go, and what could be better than giving old things new life.
Getting into gear. The horror fest is less than 30 days away, and my Steampunk outfit is almost finished. I have been getting into the spirit each night before beginning my work. Here is a piece of the inspiration I have been checking out. This is a Cake!! Just awesome, I want something like this at my next major event! Who want's a piece?
